About The Show

In a world that often dismisses the extraordinary as mere fantasy, the Webby Award winning podcast, The Telepathy Tapes, dares to listen instead.

What began as a documentary investigation into the remarkable telepathic abilities of non-speaking individuals with autism has expanded into a global exploration of consciousness itself – the science behind it, the mysteries within it, and the lived experiences that refuse to be ignored.

In Season One, non-speaking autistic individuals revealed striking abilities that challenge everything we thought we knew about the mind. In Season Two, the lens widens to extraordinary phenomena that invite us to rethink reality itself. From near death experiences to telepathic communication with animals, energy healing to plant intelligence, and the origins of creativity to sudden savant abilities -- each episode offers a rare glimpse into the vast terrain of consciousness beyond the brain.

Most people do not live at the extremes of blind belief or hard-nosed skepticism and nobody wants to be fooled in either direction. Award-winning filmmaker Ky Dickens is your host in this paradigm-shifting series that navigates the space between proof and possibility, where transparency, curiosity, and open-minded skepticism meet to help listeners uncover answers to the mysteries that science hasn’t fully explained. What have we dismissed that may be true? Is consciousness something we access, or is it bound to the brain? Does it survive death? Can it connect across time and space? And what might it mean for all of us?

Step inside a conversation that sits between science and mystery, skepticism and wonder. This is The Telepathy Tapes.

FAQ

What is The Telepathy Tapes?

A documentary podcast and film project exploring extraordinary ways of knowing—starting with the true stories of non-speaking individuals with autism who appear to communicate telepathically.

Hosted by filmmaker Ky Dickens, the podcast weaves science, story, and soul into a journey that challenges everything we thought we knew about communication, consciousness, and human potential.

What is The Telepathy Tapes' format?

Each main season of The Telepathy Tapes is a cinematic, documentary-style arc focused on a central theme. Each main season is followed by a companion season of Talk Tracks—a series of exploratory conversations that dive deeper into the themes and questions raised in the main episodes.

So far, the structure looks like this:

Season 1

The Telepathy Tapes (10 episodes): The origin story. Real families, astonishing tests, and the revelation that non-speakers may be communicating telepathically.

Talk Tracks (18 episodes): Companion episodes exploring everything from consciousness studies and soul memory to animal communication and sensory integration.

Season 2

The Telepathy Tapes: The Consciousness Channel (Ongoing): A wider inquiry into extraordinary ways of knowing—from near-death experiences to quantum healing and the intelligence of nature.

Talk Tracks (Coming Soon)

Our advice? Start at the very beginning with Season 1.

Let the story unfold the way it was meant to. This journey builds—and each layer prepares you for the next.

Is The Telepathy Tapes based on real people and real events?

Yes. Every story, every family, and every test featured in The Telepathy Tapes is real. We document the lives of non-speakers and the people who know them best—alongside researchers, teachers, and scientists who are bravely engaging with what’s unfolding.

There is no script, no actors, and no fictionalization—just lived experience and evidence that’s been hiding in plain sight.

Is telepathy actually real? Do you have scientific evidence?

That’s the question we asked, too. And as you’ll hear in Season 1, the answer is: there’s more evidence than most people realize.

The podcast includes audio from real-time telepathy tests, interviews with credentialed neuroscientists and clinicians, and case studies that defy easy explanation. We don’t claim to have all the answers, but the patterns—and the possibilities—are undeniable.

What’s the best way to start listening to The Telepathy Tapes?

Begin with Season 1. It’s the foundation of the story, centered on non-speaking individuals with autism and the astonishing communications that have changed how we see the mind.

Then move on to Talk Tracks, our companion series of shorter episodes that dive deeper into the themes of Season 1.

Once you’ve heard those, you’ll be ready for Season 2, which expands the lens to explore consciousness more broadly—from near-death experiences to nature intelligence and energy healing.

Each season builds on the last—emotionally, scientifically, and spiritually. Start at the beginning and let the story unfold.

What are The Telepathy Tapes: The Talk Tracks?

The Telepathy Tapes: The Talk Tracks are the companion series that follow each main season of The Telepathy Tapes. They’re shorter, more conversational episodes that explore the ideas, questions, and controversies raised in the core story.

You’ll hear from scientists, skeptics, spiritual teachers, and other guests who add depth, insight, and a wider lens. It’s where we pause, process, and expand before the next wave begins.

Who is Ky Dickens and why did she make The Telepathy Tapes?

Ky Dickens is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work often centers on stories that challenge dominant narratives. She created The Telepathy Tapes after a series of quiet, private conversations with parents and practitioners who had witnessed telepathy firsthand—but felt they had nowhere safe to share it.

Ky’s background in journalism and film, combined with a deep sense of justice and curiosity, led her to begin documenting these stories—first as a film, then as a podcast. Her goal isn’t to prove or convert—it’s to listen deeply, follow the evidence, and make space for truth to emerge.

Is there a documentary film connected to The Telepathy Tapes?

Yes. The podcast began as a parallel storytelling path alongside the upcoming feature-length documentary, currently in post-production.

The film is set to release in Spring 2026, and will offer an intimate, visual window into the families, tests, and moments that have shaped this movement.

Until then, the podcast is the best way to experience the story as it unfolds.

Is The Telepathy Tapes only about non-speakers and autism?

Season 1 focuses on non-speaking individuals with autism—and that foundation will always remain at the heart of this project.

But the story doesn’t stop there.

Season 2 and beyond widen the lens to explore consciousness itself—how we perceive, connect, heal, and remember. While nonspeakers remain a central part of that exploration, the project now includes scientists, artists, mystics, and others whose lived experiences help us see the bigger picture.

I’m skeptical. Is The Telepathy Tapes a spiritual podcast or a science podcast?

Both. And neither.

The Telepathy Tapes doesn’t sit neatly in a category. It’s a documentary series that holds space for science, story, and the unknown—without forcing them to compete. We speak with credentialed neuroscientists, intuitive communicators, skeptical thinkers, and open-hearted believers.

If you’re skeptical, that’s okay. Listening doesn’t require agreement—only curiosity.

Is this appropriate for kids or families to listen to?

Yes—with care.

There’s no explicit language, graphic content, or violence. That said, the ideas explored can be emotionally intense and intellectually challenging. We’ve heard from many families who listen together and use the episodes as springboards for deeper conversations.

If you’re a parent or educator, we recommend previewing a few episodes to see what feels right for your listeners.
